WordPress help, please?

I’m completely new to WordPress.
I used Fantastico to automatically install all of it.
I refreshed at my homepage and it looks the same, I don’t see my test post or anything.
Do I need to insert a wordpress code or something into my index.html file?
I haven’t done the layout yet, I wanted to get WP installed first
Sorry if this is a bother, I’m trying to learn.
So yeah, if anyone knows, help me out

This is a difficult question to answer without knowing all the details about your web hosting configuration. One thing I would check is where the WordPress application was installed. You might find Fantastico has placed it in its own directory, probably called “wordpress”. Try accessing www.mysite.com/wordpress/ where “www.mysite.com” is the address of your website.
If you continue to be stuck, you might want to try the Install4Free service: http://install4free.wordpress.com/
